EV-delegation to Sweden and Norway

Between 7-8 June, a US delegation of high-level officials in energy, EV and sustainability visited Sweden in an event co-organized between Business Sweden, Smart City Sweden, the Consulate-General of Sweden in New York and the Advanced Energy Group. The participants represented policy makers in the public sector, public transportation authorities, private companies, as well as NGOs, and hailed from ia New York, Chicago, Boston, and Jacksonville.

The selected leaders traveled to Stockholm to connect and engage with public and private sector thought leaders involved in several high profile decarbonization projects focused on cities and transportation. The purpose of the trip was to promote an exchange of ideas and foster mutually beneficial collaboration between industry professionals in Sweden and Norway and the United States.

In Stockholm, the delegation was received by the City of Stockholm and introduced to the city’s public charging infrastructure planning, including site visits to various public EV charging spaces. The delegation also visited the Stockholm Royal Seaport, the largest urban development area in Sweden, and with the ambition to become a model of sustainable urban development, and a mandate to determine what is possible now and push the boundaries for the future.

During the visit the delegation met with various Swedish companies and innovators within green energy and mobility, including Einride, FerroAmp, BatteryLoop, CTEK, Candela, Hitachi Energy and Ericsson. They also had separate sessions with the Swedish Energy Agency, Business Sweden and Drive Sweden, and were introduced to the Green Transition Initiative.
After Stockholm, the delegation continued to Norway.
